Daim review (#11)

Remember Daim? For some odd reason the only time I'd have a Daim is when I occasionally used to buy a bag in the little food bit of Ikea, and it had been a while - so to remind myself of what I'd been missing all this time, I bought one.

I was going into this a bit blind as I had little recollection of what a Daim was. Although, as you might be able to deduce from the packet it is a thin bar almost entirely made up of hard caramel, then covered in milk chocolate.

And yep, this will cling to your teeth like glue. The caramel is hard, though breakable but the sheer sweetness means that a fair bit of it will stick to your teeth. It works well with the milk chocolate, which is nothing special although does have small almond pieces which give a nice bit of added flavour.

The caramel-toffee centre is best described as if you were to make it yourself in a pan at home and left it go hard for a while. On it's own its really nothing special at all, but the almondy milk chocolate compliments it well, and is something a bit different.

7/10
