Twirl review (#4)

Another day, another chocolate bar review and today it's the turn of Twirl.

In all honesty I can't remember the last time (until this review, obviously) that I'd eaten a Twirl in it's entirety. I always remember them being one of my favourites in the tubs of Heroes you'd get at Christmas - you know, the little bitesize ones - but it's been at least a good 6 or 7 years since I've had a full chocolate bar sized one. Well, time to rectify that.

'The Intense Chocolate Hit' the packet claims, well I don't know about intense chocolate but an intense sugar hit was what I got. Man, this was sugary. Like, really sweet. For those unsure, inside it's kind of like a Flake but then covered in milk chocolate. I  mean I understand why Cadbury use the cheaper chocolate in a lot of their bars when it's combined with other things as often the chocolate isn't the sole thing in the bar but in the case of the Twirl it is, and it just wasn't great. In small little bite size bits I'd never noticed it but in the bigger bar it's really obvious to me.

Shame, as I remember really enjoying the Twirl. The sugar (while high) is roughly in line with the rest of Cadbury's bars so maybe it was just me... I don't know, I certaintly won't be rushing back for one.

5/10

So, until next time... thanks for reading.
