Ah, Wispa. It was here - then it went - and now, it's back.
According to Wikipedia we had to suffer without the famous Wispa for a whole 4 years, until they bought it back on a trial in 2007 and apparently as we bought so many of them, Cadbury bought it back permanently the following year.
The Wispa's a very, (to put it mildly) indulgent bar. I don't usually go into calories and sugar and fat (as where's the fun in that) but this rather modest bar has nearly half your daily saturates. It's not much more than a lot of others and worringly not even as high as some but the reason I mention this is that it just felt... overly creamy and buttery?
Let me explain. I honestly ate this before looking at the nutritional information and the best way I can describe it as being like is one of those things you eat that you can feel its unhealthiness as you eat it. It wasn't rich as such, but all that aerated, bubbly chocolate inside gave an overwhelmingly creamy and buttery taste which stood out even against the chocolate. That aside, the chocolate isn't bad, if quite sugary though is very smooth.
I don't know if I'm making any sense, and it's probably just me but it just felt so creamy and buttery to the point where that overtook the chocolate flavour, which should be the primary taste in any chocolate bar.
5/10
I'm probably mad!
